VCW puts on another eeeerie outing....

….but this time perhaps not for the usual reasons. VCW was back in Ajax last night with it’s yearly Halloween Show and eerie was the perfect word to describe the night.
With ghouls and goblins galore in the minimal crowd, the half abandoned carnival backdrop certainly perfected the atmosphere. But odd, along with unfortunate, are two other words one could use as descriptors.
Since relieving President Leonard Lilac of the majority of his duties mid-year, VCW has been in a promotional nosedive. Even though the annual event showcased a major title match and the final VCW appearance of Daniel Parker before his move to Japan, the event saw minimal attendance and was plagued with problems. The first being the club itself, Reaper’s Mansion, who did not get the proper permits to accommodate the ring. The FREE to the Public Opening Night slot on the Oct 15th was quietly moved to the 29th. And do I mean quiet.
The company VCW’s board pegged to replace D# Entertainment made almost no effort to advertise the new date or follow up with the club about permits. This led to the event taking place outside on a cold night, with very little advertising. Since the club paid for the event VCW lost no money and received TV footage that will surely look creepy,  but unfortunately the planned Ladder Match for the VCW Openweight Title was scrapped in favor of a streetfight, since there was nowhere to hang the belt.
Producers are moving forward but the Board of Directors has been dealing with many internal issues, including assigning a new President, and has decided to halt live events til early 2016 as a new promotional strategy is put in place.
A least VCW Champion Christopher Bishop got his belt back from the thieving Nick Watts. Tune in to Victory Commonwealth Wrestling on Rogers TV to see all the action.
